Staff Environmental Scientist II
Reports To:
Building Sciences Team Leader
Position Responsibility:
Assist ESE’s team with delivery of services to the marketplace in an organized and disciplined manner, striving to continuously improve in the areas of project delivery and technical support. Although the position will report to the Building Sciences Team Leader, a significant amount of time will be allocated toward supporting the Due Diligence Business Unit.
Positions Duties:
- Maintain an average 90% utilization.
- Deliver the professional consulting services offered by ESE Partners using ESE delivery systems
and methodologies. - Operate as one of the firm’s technical staff members with respect to the disciplines related to
Environmental Science and Engineering. - Assist in the management of numerous project tasks simultaneously with potentially short
turnaround times. - Conduct field investigations – site reconnaissance, sampling activities, conduct interviews with Key
Site Personnel. - Prepare Phase I Environmental Site Assessments, Transaction Screens, and Desktop Reviews.
- Complete asbestos containing material inspections and provide consulting services, sampling, material
identification, specification development, abatement design, and related supporting services. - Participate in quarterly Industrial Hygiene Proficiency Analytical Testing (IHPAT) Program Proficiency
Analytical Testing (PAT) rounds. - Complete indoor air quality investigations and mold assessments.
- Interpret and summarize other consultant’s reports and laboratory analytical data.
- Develop site maps and other pertinent drawings using Arc GIS.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with vendors.
- Other duties as assigned.

Education:
Bachelors Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering or Geology. Masters preferred.
Licenses:
Existing TDSHS licenses preferred.
Certifications:
Existing EPA or AHERA accreditations preferred.
